Aaron McLaughlin - About Me

Hello! I'm Aaron McLaughlin, a Film Director, Screenwriter, Editor, and Media specialist who is multifaceted in all areas of the creative process. Having started as just a kid from Milwaukee, I began behind the camera as a run-and-gun Videographer/Photographer who wanted everything I captured to look as good as possible. During my undergraduate journey, however, I discovered my passion for telling stories and pursuing a career in Film and Media. I worked in a vast array of digital media jobs, including College Athletics, Editorial Magazines, Professional Sports, Music Videos, and Narrative filmmaking.

From 2024-2025, I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA, where I obtained my Master of Arts in Film and Television a little over a year later. I learned so much about the art of filmmaking and how to operate at a professional grade level during all three stages of film production. It taught me that beyond just the higher tech equipment, it's about working well as a team member, being a collaborator, and being a strong leader. My creativity drives me; it is the fuel to my fire and the reason I get up in the morning. The arts and the joy they bring to others inspire me the most, and it's why I love what I do.
